L’echapper  is situated in the centre of the village on the edge of the main square. Original oak beams, wooden floors and feature stonewalls, all add to its rustic charm.  In wartime it was home to four Spanish families and later became a furniture shop with workshops in the attic.

The village of Kergrist is a quiet rural hamlet, but close to all amenities.  Two bars/restaurants and a general grocery store are yards from the house.

Village life is governed by the church clock, opposite the house, which chimes the hours from 7am to 9pm, with a special chorus at 12 noon to start the two hour lunch break when everything stops, including the shops - but not the bars!!
