Phil Shepherd – (Vince)
has become synonymous with Barnsley theatre. ‘Shep’, as everyone in the business calls him, trained at Barnsley College and, upon qualifying, worked in London theatres and finally at The Civic Theatre.
He joined The Lamproom Theatre as Technical Manager in 1999 and writes, produces and directs The Lamproom’s highly successful Christmas Pantos. BBC Radio Sheffield regulars will have heard Shep’s voice-overs on the John Kelly Show and he features regularly on the Toby Foster Show. Shep has reprised the character ‘Vince’ in ‘Dreamers’ and ‘Turns’ to popular and critical acclaim.
