Scratchings: A lesser known Willy Russell work telling the story of a remedial class of school kids on their first school trip. To get young people to act on stage the way some act in real life was a bit of a struggle so I was told, but as members of a much much older generation I could see and was greatly entertained by their antics. They are only kids, but with kids providing this standard of performance the future of live theatre in Barnsley is assured. We had a great evening, laughing till we nearly cried - super.
